Last Licks of Summer: Dairy Free Carob Pops

Dairy FreeCarob Pops

Summer might be over but it’s still hot enough for a cold tasty treat!

I’m usually all for quick and easy but when it comes to my kid’s diet, I like to control as many ingredients as possible. And so that’s why I’ll make our popsicles instead of buy them.

Dairy-Free Carob Pops*

*What’s carob? It’s a naturally caffeine-free, IMG_7228healthy substitute for cocoa powder.

Ingredients:

2 cups almond or coconut milk

3 TBSP carob powder (I get mine here)

(optional) dash of liquid stevia extract or maple syrup41Fw+Vnv8ML

Directions:

Dissolve carob powder in the milk.

Fill up your molds.

Freeze.

Wait and convince your child to be patient!
